The Summer Splash 2017 Online Auction features a variety of wonderful local items, travel, sporting events, dining, spa services, and much more!
All bidding will be done online, so you can bid any time, anywhere….before and during the Summer Splash Event on July 27th. And those of you, unable to attend the Event this year can participate too.

Q: How do I find the auction?

Q: Do I need to attend the Summer Splash Event in-person to participate in the auction?
A: No, since this auction is 100% online, we can extend the auction to the entire Sunflower Wellness community!
Q: Can I view the auction items without an Online Bidding Account?
A: Yes, you can see all auction items by going to the Summer Splash 2017 Online Auction Website: https://summersplash.ggo.mobi. Registration to open a Bidding Account will only be required once you are ready to enter bids.
Q: Do I need to create an account to bid on items?
A: Yes, an Online Bidding Account is needed to place a bid on an item. The account setup process is quick and easy.
Q: How do I create a Bidding Account?
A: You will need to create an account at https://summersplash.ggo.mobi – in order to bid in the auction.
Creating an account will allow us to identify and communicate with bidders during and after the auction, e.g., you’ll be notified if you are outbid, when you win, etc. Then, click on the green “Start Bidding” button and register.
Once you create an account, you should receive a confirmation email from Greater Giving Login (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you do not receive an email, please check your spam or junk email folder. We recommend adding email@example.com to your address book or “safe senders” list to ensure you receive future notification emails. If you still cannot locate the confirmation email, you may want to create an account using a different email address.
Q: What is Greater Giving?
A: Greater Giving is the company that is providing the Summer Splash Online Auction platform. That is why you will receive email notices from Greater Giving regarding your Online Auction account and your bids.
Q: How does Online Bidding work?
A: The bidding process is easy and works similarly to other online auction sites. You will be able to read about/see the item as well as seeing what the current bid for it is. During the Summer Splash Event, all bidding will also take place online through the website: https://summersplash.ggo.mobi
Q: What is a “QUICK BID”?
A: This will automatically bid for you at the next possible increment. E.g., if the current bid is $100 and the increment is $50, then your quick bid will be for $150.
Q: What is a “BID”?
A: You can choose to set a “max” amount to bid or to bid an “exact” dollar amount. If you choose to set a “max”, LEAVE the check mark next to the “Max bid turned on”, CLICK on your max dollar amount, and PLACE bid. This means that the Online Auction System can bid for you, up to whatever maximum amount you have set. As others bid on the same item, the Online Auction System will automatically bid on your behalf, up to your maximum amount. Your maximum bid will remain confidential unless you are outbid.
If you’d rather bid an “exact” dollar amount, CLICK on the check mark to turn off “Max bidding”, CLICK on your exact dollar amount, and PLACE bid.
Q: How does “Buy Now” work?
A: All auction items will have a “Buy Now” feature that allows you to immediately win the item if you agree to purchase it at the “Buy Now” price.
Q: Will I be notified when someone outbids me?
A: Yes, all participants will receive a notification when they are outbid. You will receive the outbid email and/or text only if your bid is the leading bid and then someone outbids you. You should also receive an email/text when you submit a bid, which confirms your bid and lets you know if you are the leading bidder. If you are not receiving notifications, please check your spam or junk email folder.
Q: How do I know if I am the winning bidder?
A: All winning bidders will receive a notification email/text from Greater Giving after the auction closes. If you are not receiving notifications, please check your spam or junk email folder. You can also log in to your account and click on “My List” for status updates.
Q: What happens when there are two bids that are the same on an item?
A: Any time the system receives two bids that are the same, the first bid entered into the system wins.
Q: How do I pay for my items?
A: Payments will be processed at the close of auction, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 7:30 pm, using the credit card you entered when you registered for your Online Bidding Account. Items must be paid for in full before they can be released to the winning bidder.
Q: How do I receive my items?
A: All items will be present at the Summer Splash Event. If you are attending the Event and a winning bidder, your item(s) may be picked up at 8:00 pm at the front Check-in/Check-out desk.
If you are a winning bidder but unable to attend the Event, you will be contacted by a Summer Splash Committee Member to arrange for item pick up or delivery. Shipping fees may apply.
Q: Are refunds available?
A: Sorry, all sales are final. This auction is a non-profit fundraiser for Sunflower Wellness and there will be no exchanges or refunds. All fair market values are approximate (and provided by the donor) and all items are sold as is.
Q: I have another question (not answered in this FAQ) or have encountered an issue while trying to access the Splash ticket, donation, or Online Auction pages. Who do I contact?
